Ink the Sky

We invite you to the next edition of the event INk THE SKY, where 2D and 3D animation, Stop Motion, Traditional Video, Short Movies, Video Art, Photography, etc will be shown.

INk THE SKY is an idea which came up through experimentation and playing with a projector in a different space and angle.

The desire to create a place where people with a common interest can expose their work, and at the same time enjoy the work of others, or simply want to see what is being done, is the idea of this project, which will take place every 3 months, at Estudio Nómada, in Barcelona.

The INk THE SKY group proposes a theme beforehand to those who would like to participate with their own work. Each theme has more than one interpretation, so that you can give freedom to your imagination! By covering the floor of their studio/workshop with comfortable cushions and mattresses, you can lay down and relax to enjoy the projections on the ceiling. Accompanied by drinks, pop corn, and some other surprises.

The project began last year, november in 2009, and was a big success. There were 18 videos projected, with the live participation of VJs. All of the work was of exceptional quality, and with a large variety of styles, from pariticpants from all over the world, like Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Iceland, Holland, Chile and Spain.

After the overflow of spectators at the first edition, the INk THE SKY group apologizes to the people who were not able to come in, and tries to make it up to them by dedicating two session at the next edition, which will take place the 13th and 14th of March 2010.

You are welcome to the event! Come and make yourselves comfortable!
